Story behind the need:
ITCity Consulting is seeking an Agentic AI Instructor to design and lead short, hands-on bootcamps on building AI agents. This role is for a practitioner who's actually built and deployed agentic systems — not just studied them — and can translate that experience into practical, job-ready skills for students. You'll teach the core concepts, tools, and frameworks behind modern AI agents (LLM orchestration, tool use, memory, multi-agent systems) through applied projects, helping students walk away with real agents they've built themselves. Ideal for someone active in the AI/ML space who's comfortable with fast-moving tools and can keep curriculum current as the field evolves.
C$ 1500 - C$ 3000 / per cohort
Contract - Hybrid
Start Date: October 1, 2026
Location: USA/Canada-Remote
Core Requirements:
You have hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents or agentic workflows (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Claude/OpenAI Agent SDKs, MCP).
You have strong understanding of LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and RAG.
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AI/ML, software development, or a closely related field.
You demonstrable proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for instructional delivery.
Nice to have: prior consulting, tutoring, or public speaking/content creation experience in AI.
Possess a valid:
Canadian work authorization (Work Permit, PR, Citizenship)
USA work authorization (OPT, Greencard, Citizenship)
Nature of the job:
This is a solid part-time commitment, not a casual teaching arrangement. ITCity holds instructors to a high standard of professionalism, availability, and engagement, and these are actively monitored throughout the program.
Instructors are required to deliver 6–8 hours of live lecture time per week (exact schedule TBD based on cohort needs and instructor availability), which may include evenings/weekends depending on program format. Beyond delivering lectures per the agreed curriculum and timeline, instructors are expected to assess and grade student assignments and projects in a timely manner, respond to and resolve student queries, and remain reasonably responsive to student and coordinator communications outside scheduled hours.
Instructors will work with a mix of students — some experienced, others new to the field — and must be able to meet each learner where they are, adapting teaching styles and methods to accommodate different learning paces. A positive, constructive, and encouraging attitude is essential, as it directly shapes student motivation and outcomes.
The Program Instructor owns the success of their cohort. This includes going beyond the core curriculum to develop supplementary materials — quizzes, assessments, and practice resources — and providing constructive, actionable feedback throughout. This role suits educators who take teaching seriously, are committed to student outcomes, and are willing to invest the effort a well-run cohort requires.
