Social Media Manager
Staff-Administration
JobID: ITCJP0048
Story behind the need:
ITCity Consulting is looking for a Social Media Manager to own our presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You'll be the creative and strategic force behind how ITCity shows up online — spotting trends, generating fresh content ideas, and translating our BA/QA/PM training programs, student success stories, and career-focused content into scroll-stopping posts, reels, and carousels. This role blends content creation with community building: you'll shape our brand voice, keep our platforms active and consistent, and drive engagement that turns followers into leads and students. Ideal for someone who's plugged into social trends, has a sharp eye for what performs, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
C$17.60 / hr
Part-time (20 hours per week)
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Canada-Remote
Core Requirements:
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing social media for a brand or business.
You are currently working with a brand, actively managing its social presence as your full-time job.
You can showcase demonstrable results from current/recent work (e.g., follower growth, engagement rates, campaign performance).
You possess proficiency across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, with platform-specific content strategy experience.
Possess a valid:
Canadian work authorization (Work Permit, PR, Citizenship)
Be physically present in Canada.
Nature of the job:
This is a part-time engagement managing ITCity Consulting's presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
The manager is expected to maintain a consistent, reliable posting cadence across all platforms — this is not an ad-hoc, whenever-convenient arrangement. Work includes identifying and generating content, writing captions and scripts, coordinating visuals/reels, and actively engaging with comments, DMs, and the broader community. Posting schedules and content targets will be set per week/month based on business priorities.
The manager is expected to communicate proactively — flagging content ideas, campaign opportunities, or engagement issues rather than waiting to be asked, and raising concerns about underperforming content or strategy shifts when relevant.
Ownership matters — the manager is responsible for the quality, consistency, and brand alignment of everything posted, and for tracking engagement/performance metrics to inform ongoing strategy.
Reasonable responsiveness to comments, DMs, and time-sensitive engagement opportunities should be expected, not limited strictly to scheduled posting times.
This role suits someone who takes ownership seriously, communicates well, and can be trusted to manage ITCity's social presence reliably within a part-time capacity.
